About Carolina Forecast
My name is Trevor and I've owned and operated Carolina Forecast since October 2004.
We provide local weather information for North and South Carolina. Current weather, 7 day
forecast, US and regional graphics, traffic cameras, radar and satellite images, pictures
taken by us and you. We're More Than Just Weather. We are a part of our community.
About Trevor:
I've been interested in weather since I was about 6 years old. I grew up near Detroit and
moved to the Raleigh, NC area when I was about 11. I now have over 10 years experience
of weather forecasting in Raleigh. Aside from running my website I work at an area farm
as Barn Manager. It's a horse farm with about 25 horses.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to notify the public of emergency weather situations to protect life and
property. We also plan to start researching the weather in the Carolinas and surrounding
areas to better understand some the strange phenomenon. We believe we can increase
warning time on tornadoes and pinpoint storms producing strong winds and large hail.
Our Goals:
To educate the public to keep them safe in all weather situations. We plan to start within
the next year or so, attending schools and educating children about weather. We think its
important to start safety habits at a young age. Its also a very fun form of science and they
will enjoy the experiments.
Another goal is to get one or two mobile weather centers for our research. These vehicles
would be used for research, branding, and education. We would attend hurricane fairs,
parades and schools. But mostly we would travel all across the region collecting data in
all weather situations: hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, snow, etc.
